The outside world is like a living blob. Each individual takes a tiny part in creating a constantly changing something. This something is like an own organism, a self itself. In a constant and fluent change, this network multibrain affects us all. Nevertheless aware or automatic, at the same time we are author, director, producer and audience. We are the dream and the dreamer.
My photography exists by being outside, getting inspired by the many faces, the many facets. The blob feeds my creativity. In 2020 through lockdown my creative work suffered immensely. By the end of the year “CD project RED” released their new game. A huge open world shooter called “Cyberpunk 2077”, based on the tabletop role-playing game from 1990. I was hooked.
Being familiar with gaming, I fully experienced this masterpiece of art. One day my photographic view started automatically. Surprisingly discovering frames, situations and relations. The integrated screenshot maker did the rest. Impressed by the paradox of being locked in and at the same time exploring a strange land, I went “shooting”.
More than 300 photos later the idea appeared of making a new photo book. Stepping away from the dreamer, creating a dream.
